Samuel Brockington studies the origin, evolution and diversification of the plant kingdom, specifically phylogenetic relationships within flowering plants, evolutionary biosynthesis of metabolic pathways, the evolution and conservation of Tulips, and the evolution of fog-harvesting geophytes in Namaqualand.
