Marko Hyvönen
About
Reader in Protein Biochemistry, Department of Biochemistry
Marko Hyvönen's research focuses on understanding how cells in humans communicate with each other, how signals are transmitted from one cell to another and how cells interpret these signals at atomic level detail. His work is looking at how errors in communication between and within cells affect many disease states and use this information to develop novel drugs that will act against these signalling molecules and correct the problems associated with them.
