Background and Current Projects: I did a Natural Sciences degree at Cambridge with projects in DNA replication and plant cell wall biochemistry before starting at the Hollfelder lab. Here I work in the directed evolution of viral proteases both as models for studying evolutionary processes, and as potential tools by evolving tailored specificity.
Interests: For relaxation I do life drawing, cubist painting, massage, punting and ballroom dancing. For excitement I enjoy climbing regularly and skiing occasionally
