Background and Current Projects: I studied Biology (BSc) at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Poland and then worked in Medimmune (AstraZeneca) in Cambridge for 1.5 years as a Research Associate. My PhD project is collaboration between the Biochemistry Department and MedImmune. The objective of my project is to use novel high-throughput screening methods to identify proteins capable of exerting direct biological effects on cells (e.g. induction of apoptosis in tumour cells) and improve their potency using novel in vitro evolution format in emulsion droplets handled in microfluidic devices.
Interests: I have several hobbies, including social salsa dancing, horse riding, rowing, but most of all - travelling.
