The School contributes to two major teaching programmes. A course or
programme is known in the University of Cambridge as a Tripos. The
Faculty of Biology provides all the teaching
of Biological Sciences in the Natural Sciences
Tripos (NST). It also provides all the pre-clinical teaching for the
Medical and Veterinary Sciences
Tripos (MVST).
Most of the departments teaching these courses achieved full marks in
the last Teaching Quality Assessment.
The clinical teaching of veterinary students continues within the Department of Veterinary Medicine
while medical students may go on to the School of Clinical Medicine.
