The Medical and Veterinary Sciences Tripos (MVST) is the pre-clinical course followed by students wishing to become doctors or vets. In the first two years (Parts IA and IB) some of the constituent courses are taken in common by both sets of students while some are parallel. The body responsible for overseeing teaching in the MVST is the MVST Part I Committee. In the third year most medical and veterinary students take one of the courses taken by Natural Sciences Tripos students (NST Part II or NST Part II BBS course) ; some, however, may take other one-year Tripos courses offered by the University. These may include History of Art, Philosophy, Management Studies, Engineering, Social and Political Sciences, and Anthropology. On the prospective students page you will find information on Open Days, a guide to basic science concepts and an introduction to anatomy. The course details page has information on courses, handbooks, timetables, and assessment for current students and staff. Information for college tutors includes advice on admissions and second MB resit forms. The Faculty also has general information that applies to those studying or teaching the Natural Sciences Tripos including advice on examinations, supervisions and teaching accommodation. Lastly we have links to societies, etc., and information about undergraduate research funding. |
