NST Part II BBS - Examinations

You should consult the course handbooks issued by departments for detailed information about the form and conduct of the examinations in your chosen papers.

The maximum marks allocated to each component of the examination will be in the following proportion

Major Subject

Minor Subject
15
Dissertation
20
Total
100

The papers offered will normally be the same as those for the single Major Subject. For most Minor Subjects the paper is borrowed from another Tripos. Examiners may call you for viva voce on your dissertation. There is a separate class list for NST Part II BBS.

Examination requirements:

Examination requirements for major and minor subjects are found in the lists of permissible subjects here.

All students are also required to submit a dissertation, which shall be an extended account of a topic or question that lies broadly within the field of either the Major or Minor Subject offered. Information on the dissertation can be found here.
