This website is for researchers in the School of the Biological Sciences who want to know more about translation of research and impact.
Research translation and impact are of increasing importance to Government and funders of research. The School wishes to encourage researchers to translate their research so it can contribute to society and the economy; such contributions can be achieved through diverse routes such as new products and devices, services, policy making and development of standards and best practice.
The University has a number of internal funding schemes, drawn from awards made directly to it from external organisations. In additional there are financial and non-financial opportunities to work with external organisations.
This page provides links to the different opportunities and will, in time, also include resources for researchers about translation of research and impact.
The School has appointed a Translational Research Facilitator, Tamsin Sayer, who will work with departments to support, promote and co-ordinate translational activities. Please feel free to contact Tamsin with any queries or suggestions.
