Our School and the School of Clinical Medicine, together with their partner institutes in the local area, run a Graduate School known as the Graduate School of Life Sciences. This coordinates policy, training and some bids for studentship funding.
The Graduate School provides advice and support to current and prospective graduate students and early career postdoctoral researchers.
There is also an Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, which provides support for postdocs across the whole University.
More information about training within individual departments is to be found on departments' web sites.
The University provides gateways to more information for students and staff. There is a wealth of training available in generic and transferable skills in addition to scientific training.
The University runs a Researcher Development Programme that caters for both graduate students and postdocs and we also have specialist careers advisers for both groups.
